Bio
Claude Whipple is a musician, composer, and educator based in Paris. He plays electric guitar and sings, and leads multiple music projects including Little Rock Story, Solar Magnet, and A Drop of Poison, a Tom Waits–inspired solo project.
Since 2020, Claude has been deeply involved in Soundpainting, the live composition language, organizing workshops and masterclasses, coordinating international events, and contributing to the global community. He works closely with pioneers Walter Thompson and François Jeanneau, helping artists explore multidisciplinary improvisation and live composition.
As an educator, Claude coordinates the Musiques Actuelles Amplifiées department at the Bondy and Pantin Conservatoires, where he teaches guitar, leads group workshops, and oversees project-based learning for students of all levels.
His work spans performance, education, and community-building, combining a passion for music with a commitment to creative collaboration.
